Shibasaki Kou

Year Aired: 2007
Genre: Detective, Mystery
Episodes: 10

I have been pretty much bored over the past few days so I tried this drama out of pure boredom. And I must say this was quite the interesting shit I have seen in a while.Galileo is different from other j-dramas which tend to emphasise more on the dramatical part and less on the story line.Galileo does not do that,it remains itself attached to the story and rarely deviates to the emo part which I must say is the thing that kills of most j-dramas.The story is mostly about a rookie detective and a university professor as the solve mysteries together. The cases in the series is very differrent from what we are used to seeing as each episode presents a strange crime which would otherwise be impossible to solve. Some might say that after seeing the series,"hey, this is just like Numb3rs".Numb3rs is a crap series which I frankly think would make even a Elementary schooler laugh.Galileo remains accurate to the point, and you seriously can't make fun of this series. It's a decent j-drama and I would highly recommend it to anyone who prefers this genre.

Anyway I am through with the series I am looking forward to watching the Special episode and the movie..Hope they are just as good.^^

Kolkata Anime Club(KAC)

The 12th of December saw the Birth of the first official anime club of Kolkata. After nearly a month of haggling with the dates on Facebook,we finally managed to choose a date to have our first meet. Many had decided to attend, but some pulled out later with the Facebook event page showed only 7 people attending!Nevertheless we decided to carry on on hold the meet as scheduled. The meet was held on a lazy sunday afternoon at a well known mall Kolkata i.e South City.I arrived there a good half an hour early and made my way to the food court where the meet was supposed to be held. After a bit of searching ,I found the KAC members seated near the KFC outlet. Our club president Nia(Nyaa~Chan as we fondly call her ^_^),was the first to recognise me and I soon enough I found myself seated among a small and dedicated otakuish group.10 mins later and after the arrival of a few more members  we started off our meet dot on time.."Introductions Please" ,as Nia said, and I was the first one to ...

Battleship Yamato 2199

Honestly, I don't even remember when I watched a Space Opera in Anime before. It's been many years I guess. Battleship Yamato 2199 is considered to be the Japanese star wars is remake of a show which aired back in 70's and during its heyday was a big name back in Japan. But, how does it actually pan out? The remake is considered be very good, and something that fans appreciated, that said my own feelings towards the show remain mixed. The show does set up an excellent world ang premise which could have been set for greatness, but it didn't quite live up to the mark. The 25 episodes were a complete see saw, one episode was good, the next episode was utter garbage. This thing continued throughout and the show never quite got a foothold on the consistency of its quality. And, the predictable sub plots made things worse, especially how the subplots only aided as a distraction and held no meaning to the overall story. That said, there were places where the show completely  s...
